Maths Aotearoa for the New Zealand Curriculum

Maths Aotearoa Level 1 is divided into two Teacher Books and Activity Card Packs, 1a followed by 1b.  The programme of work covers Level 1 requirements of the Mathematics and Statistics learning area in the New Zealand curriculum.

Level 1a Teacher Book provides:

• all the tools to plan a mathematics programme to meet the needs of all students working at early to mid-level 1. It is set out in four large blocks of learning to emphasise the connections between the strands of mathematics. 
• teachers with the understanding of which concepts students are beginning to develop and the key knowledge they are building.
• suggested teaching activities, links to the Activity Cards and Wilkie Way resources, some blackline masters resource masters and worksheets. 
• a record sheet to track individual students’ progress
• answers to each independent Activity Card.
